Isaiah 43:1-7 2024 West Coast Impact Regional Volleyball Tournament welcomes players, family, and friends. Enjoy the 2 day tournament filled with fun, competition, fellowship and glorifying God. Throughout the tournament please display respect and sportsmanship to everyone and the volleyball venue.

Parking is $10 per day. No Entry Fee. In lieu of an entry fee a donation box will be by the door, please give as you are led to help with the cost of this tournament. 2 Corinthians 9:7

NO FOOD or Cooler Allowed in the Gym. FOOD vendors available outside. You may eat in the atrium but you cannot bring your own cooler inside.

Tournament Swag will be available for picked up at the tournament. This was Pre-order only.

The tournament will be governed by National Federation of State High School (NFSHS) rules. The Tournament Directors have the final decision to resolve disagreements, and reserve the right to modify tournament format.

Ref teams will be assigned to each match. Refereeing will be done by Coaches and Athletes only. Coaches or Team Manager should assign ref duties to athletes before the tournament. Please arrive 45 mins before your first match to ref or play. See Saturday morning exception below Ref teams will provide an up ref, down ref, 2 line judges and a score flipper. The up Ref at the end of the match is responsible for reporting the score for pool play and winning team for bracket pay to the score table. See more reffing details under TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW below

Friday Format

Juniors will play a double round robin tournament, with a game against the seniors and an awards ceremony.

Girls D3, D2, D1 and Boys D2, D1 Pool Play. Boys D1 pool play will be completed on Saturday. Each team will get a 4 min shared warm up before every match including 1 minute for serving. Pool play will be 1 set first to 25 or a 30 minute time limit including warm up which ever comes first. 2, 1 min time outs per match allowed

Saturday Format

Each team will get a 4 min shared warm up before every match including 1 minute for serving. Each division will play a double elimination bracket tournament. There are no crossover games.
Bracket Play will be best of 3 to 25 or 1.5 hour time limit including warm up which ever comes first. 2, 1 min time outs per set allowed with 2 minutes in-between sets. Win by 2 cap at 29/19

Please be mindful that only players and coaching staff are permitted on the courts and equipment. During game intermissions, timeouts, rest periods – non-players/coaches are asked to refrain from playing on the courts.

Each Team will need to bring their balls and ball carts make sure they are labeled with your team name and ball numbers. Select teams from each division will be asked to bring their flags and score chart. Please see this list.

TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW

ARRIVAL TIMES

Friday Check for ALL teams in begins at 3:15pm, division group dynamic warm up begins 30 mins before that divisions first game.

  • Saturday check begins at 7:30am for ALL teams
  • Warm up begins at 8:00 first game begins at 8:30

Friday Dinner: No Food Allowed in the Gym. There is no official dinner break. Teams may leave after their reffing and pool play is complete. Athletes need to bring small snacks to be eaten through out the evening in-between matches during their “off” time. Recommended easy protein and carbohydrates type snacks.

Saturday Lunch: No Food Allowed in the Gym. Athletes DO NOT have lunch time. Athletes need to bring small snacks to be eaten through out the day in-between matches during their “off” time. Recommended easy protein and carbohydrates type snacks.

NO POP UPS in the parking lot or taking up parking spaces with chairs

POOL PLAY

ALL DIVISIONS will play 1 set to 25, first to 25 wins.

  • Teams will get a 4 minute shared warm-up before each match, this includes serving warm-up.

BRACKET PLAY

ALL DIVISIONS will play best of 3 to 25 deciding set to 15 win by 2 with a cap at 29/19.

Championship games each team will get a 5 min warmup that includes serving warm up.

REFEREEING

Pool Play and Bracket Refereeing for D1 game – Coaches will Up Referee for pool play each refereeing team will provide, a Down Referee, 2 Line Judges and Score Chart person. Coaches and Athletes only or approved refs only

Pool Play and Bracket Refereeing for Juniors, D2, D3- Coaches and/or D1 players will Up Referee in addition to each refereeing team providing a Down Referee, 2 Line Judges and Score Chart person. Coaches and Athletes or approved refs only! A Team Parent may help guide D3/D2 athletes if an assistant coach is not available.

  • Up Referees are responsible for starting matches on time.
  • Up Referees are responsible for recording final score and reporting it to the Tournament Table.
  • Referees can submit a score directly on a match. Login is required before that option will be available. Contact Lightning Coach Waterman for a login.

CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES

Hired Up Referees for the final bracket matches for D1 (Referee arrival at 3:45p.) Ref teams will provide a down ref, 2 line judges and score chart person. All other divisions have assigned up Refs along with ref teams.

AWARDS

Each team will select an All Tournament Athlete. Championship division winners will select an MVP in addition to an All Tournament Athlete.
